Among all the sweet offering to God these quick and super cute ammani kozhukattai makes pleasant change. There are few methods of making mini kozhukattai too and this one is most popular and easy kolukattai method. If you look for some good and easy prasadam for Pillar then this ammani kozhukattai should be in your list.
Ganesh Chaturthi bring so many good memories and it's totally different when I am in South and North India. I still remember all our neighbors sharing different variety of kozhukattai where most of them would call it "Kolukattai" where i is silent. I have seen so many variety as it's differs in each house specially when there's different community people and I alwasy remember Ragi kozhukattai cause in childhood days I never used to like it! But now I like Ragi Pidi Kozhukattai a lot :).
In Tamilnadu we call it kozhukattai and in Andhra it's known as kudumulu and in north it's Modak (though not this one) it's just what we call but the basic idea remains the same. Last year I posted Bellam Kudumulu along with that I also posted Vella Ammini Kozhukattai and this is the savory version of Ammini Kozhukattai. For a change DH also liked it very much :) So do not think too much, makes these cuties and celebrate Chavithi
We can do little changes in this mini kolukattai and add cashew nuts or peanuts in tempering to add that extra crunch and I personally like it with peanuts, I was so tempted to add this time too but control myshelf to keep the recipe authentic :-)
