Palak Pyaaz Pakode, palak ke pakode or spinach onion fritters are easy pakora recipe with fresh spinach (palak) and adding little onion for crunch. Another winter specialty is having fresh, green vegetables with ample of beautiful looking spinach. In North India now spinach is everywhere, fresh and cute and during our trip we were making every second day palak dal, palak pakoda and finally towards the end of our vacation I manage to click the palak pyaaz pakode pictures.
There are many ways of making palak pakoda (pasalai keerai baaji) while this is my SIL recipe with onion I do mostly only with palak (spinach) in various way and there's is another popular bhajiya version where palak is not chopped but just dip and fried like we do for aloo bhajiya. Meanwhile when you have around 20 people it's better to go with the flow and follow what the experts are doing I believe. It just made me realize it been very long I didn't posted any pakoda recipe it's not that I don't make but we prefer mostly onion pakoda and aloo pakoda which I have posted, now a days I am making raw banana pakode which not able to take pictures so it's in the queue to post.
Normally pakoda is my sister-in-law department she is famous for that so while she was making this pakoda along with our chachi (aunt) I was busy serving every one and thus I didn't took the final fried pakoda picture which I thought that I did, anyways that doesn't make much of difference. In Faridabad where we were staying we had this huge farmers market and near by there were many farms too so all fresh products we were getting and palak was so cheap our aunt was like why they are selling so cheap palak (spinach) :) so in winter morning and in evening palak pakoda is must right? Enjoy the winter and the fresh products and make some palak pakoda :) and check out other spinach recipes here.
