How to Choose Beetroot
Beetroot should be firm, smooth, in red-purple in color and should not be soft, wrinkled or dull in colour. Fresh beets with the greens attached can be stored for three to four days in the fridge, but beets with the greens removed can be stored in the fridge for two to four weeks.
Tip: While cutting and cooking beetroot if your hands becomes stained and the red color not going with plain water rinsing then rub some lemon juice over it will help to remove the color.
