Roasted Phool Makhana (Fox Nuts) Recipe

Ingredients:
- 2 Cups - Makhana/Fox Nut/Lotus Seeds
- 2 tsp - Oil
- 1/2 tsp - Red Chili Powder
- 3/4 tsp - Cumin Powder
- 1/8 tsp - Pepper Powder
- To Taste - Sendha Namak/Rock Salt
Method:
- In a pan or kadai heat oil, add makhana/puffed lotus seeds and roast with regular stirring on low flame for 8-10 mins or until they becomes light brown, crispy and crunchy.
- Add all the spices and off flame (to avoid spices from burning), mix well to coat makhana with all spices.
Serve immediately or store in air-tight container once cooled.
- If you take chaat masala while fasting then add 1 tsp of chaat masala.
- If making this not during fasting then add 1/2 tsp turmeric powder, it bring nice color to the makhana and you can use normal table salt.
