Atte ka Halwa or atta halwa is popular North Indian halwa recipe, in Gurudwara aate ka halwa is distributed as naivedyam/prasad and known as Kada Prasad. In our home atte ka halwa is more popular then sooji halwa and we love it more than any other halwa. We make aata halwa more for breakfast than as dessert same as sooji halwa or during any pooja aate ka halwa, poori is distributed as naivedyam at home, temple etc.
Lot of people think making good aate ka halwa is difficult and takes lot of ghee which is true to some extend but try this method you can make perfect halwa with less ghee and quickly. Just remember to roast flour in slow flame so it doesn't get burnt and after adding water quickly mix everything well. And as I have mention in my sooji halwa recipe, a good halwa is if shaping using any mold it should retain shape and when scramble it should separate well without being sticky.
Atte ka halwa taste delicious if served hot or warm then on room temperature but you can eat it anyway you like. Today's is my sister birthday so I thought of sharing this yummy halwa with you all which is loved of everyone in our home.
